Spring Pre-Registration

Okay, on Thursday we are going to do more pre-registration for the Spring semester. Bring $30 and we will probably have you take turns going out of class and registering. Shoko will be in Rm. 24 to register anyone who needs to sign up for classes starting March 22. It's easier now because the lines are shorter!

EL Civics this Wednesday!

We have a test on Education for the English Language Civics test. There are 3 tasks:
1. You need to write sentences about specific goals you want to achieve in learning English.
2. You must write a brief and concise business letter to the administration about the ESL program.
3. You must write sentences about strategies for learning English.

We will review what to do Monday and Tuesday.

Party Tomorrow!

Come in a costume! Bring some food! We will still do some academic things in the morning, and we will eat and talk and possibly begin to watch a movie after break.

The Distance Learning Quiz will be tomorrow and every Tuesday from now until the end of the semester. The subject is Unit 3 "Growing Up in America" We are aiming to get all the students with over 70% proficiency. That's your only homework. Study that packet! Good luck.

I would still like to receive your homework if you haven't turned it in yet. Just write 2-3 paragraphs about your specific goals for learning Eglish this semester. I want to use this homework assignment to look back at toward the end of the semester.

Distance Learning

Hello wonderful students. The homework for the weekend is to finish Unit 2 on American Government in the distance learning packet. There will be a quiz Tuesday on this material. We are aiming for 70% correct on the quiz in order to receive credit for it. We will usually have one week to study the material. Again, I apologize for giving it to you a little late.
